Cargo
Transporting large presses
Large presses for forming and forging are transported in parts: uprights, crown, slide, bolster. Individual parts are very heavy and compact – overhead cranes, doors and floor load at both sites are part of the planning.
What matters
- In parts
- The press is dismantled by the manufacturer or assembly partner; each part has its own dimensions and weights.
- Very high individual weights
- Uprights and slide determine vehicle and permit.
- Hall
- Overhead crane, doors and floor load when leaving and moving in.
- Foundation
- The foundation at destination must be ready.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which parts, with dimensions and weights?
- Who dismantles and assembles?
- How do the parts leave the hall?
- Is there a sufficient overhead crane at destination?
- Is the foundation ready?

- Lifting situation at both sites
- Period
Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
- Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
- Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned
Good to know
Plan dismantling and assembly with the manufacturer's service – we transport the heavy individual parts in between. Presses of normal dimensions are planned by Logisticoo Machinery.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.
- 02
Review
We check parts, route and lifting situation and clarify permits and partners.
- 03
Quote
After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.
- 04
Execution
Transport of the parts after permit, moving in with overhead crane or partner equipment.
Questions and answers: Large presses
Is a large press transported in one piece?
Rarely. Usually it is dismantled into uprights, crown, slide and bolster and transported in parts.
Who dismantles the press?
The manufacturer or an assembly partner. We transport the parts.
What matters when moving into a hall?
Door size, overhead crane and floor load. If the overhead crane is insufficient, we plan partner equipment.
