Moving large plant components to a new site

When production moves, some plant components are too large or heavy for normal machine transport: press bodies, furnace segments, large frames. Dismantling is done by the client or its assembly partner – we plan transport of the large pieces.

What matters

Dismantling first
The plant is dismantled by your team or assembly partner; the parts list results from this.
Check the largest pieces first
The heaviest and largest pieces determine permits and vehicles.
Leaving the hall
Clarify doors, overhead cranes and floor load at the old site.
Reassembly
Arrival coordinated with foundation and assembly at the new site.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. Which pieces exceed normal dimensions or weights?
  2. Who dismantles and reassembles?
  3. How do the pieces get out of the hall?
  4. Is the foundation at destination ready?
  5. What period applies?

What we need from you

  • Parts list with dimensions and weights
  • Sites
  • Period
  • Assembly contact

Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
  • Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
  • Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned

Good to know

Plan dismantling and assembly with your team or the manufacturer's service – we bring the pieces safely to destination in between. Machines of normal dimensions are planned by Logisticoo Machinery.

How it works

  1. 01

    Request

You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.

  2. 02

    Review

We check the large pieces, exit and route and clarify permits and partners.

  3. 03

    Quote

After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.

  4. 04

    Execution

Transport of the large pieces after permit, coordinated with dismantling and assembly.

Questions and answers: Plant components to a new site

How does a site relocation with Logisticoo work?

Your team or assembly partner dismantles, we transport the pieces in an agreed sequence to the new site – where assembly starts as planned.

What if only some pieces are out of gauge?

Then we plan those as heavy or out-of-gauge transport; normal machines can be handled by Logisticoo Machinery.

How do large pieces get out of the hall?

Through doors and with an overhead crane or partner equipment. Door dimensions and floor load are clarified in advance.

What should we coordinate via our partners? (optional)

Whether and to what extent anything is needed is checked per project.
