Cargo
Transporting large agricultural machinery
Large agricultural machines are above all wide: combines, forage harvesters, beet harvesters, wide implements. If they are not to drive themselves – for example from manufacturer to dealer or over long distances – they move as out-of-gauge transport.
What matters
- Width
- Most farm machines exceed width rather than weight.
- Headers separate
- Headers and wide attachments often travel on their own trailer or vehicle.
- Season
- Deliveries cluster before harvest – plan early.
- Dealers
- Collection from the manufacturer, delivery to the dealer or directly to the farm.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which machine, with transport width and weight?
- Does the header travel separately?
- From where to where?
- By when must the machine be there?
- Is there a ramp or space for unloading?
What we need from you
- Machine and dimensions
- Route
- Date
- Unloading situation
Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
- Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
- Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned
Good to know
If width and height stay within normal limits, Logisticoo Machinery can also plan your transport – we refer you accordingly.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.
- 02
Review
We check dimensions and route and clarify vehicle and permit.
- 03
Quote
After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.
- 04
Execution
Transport after permit, unloading at the dealer or farm.
Questions and answers: Large agricultural machinery
Why do combines often need special transport?
Because their width exceeds the generally permitted dimensions – even without the header.
Can the header be transported together?
Often on its own trailer or vehicle. What fits is checked per machine.
When should harvest machine transports be planned?
Early before the season, because permits and vehicles are in high demand then.
