Heavy transport for shipbuilding and shipyards

Shipyards receive heavy and bulky components from suppliers: engines, gearboxes, propellers, shafts, rudders, prefabricated sections. Yacht yards move finished boats overland. The destination is often a quay or hall with its own cranes.

What matters

Heavy components
Engines, shafts and propellers are compact and heavy.
Sections
Prefabricated hull sections are wide and tall.
Quay and hall
Yard cranes often handle unloading.
Yachts
Finished boats on cradles overland.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. Which component, with dimensions and weight?
  2. Where is delivery – quay, hall?
  3. Is there a yard crane?
  4. From which supplier?
  5. Is there an installation date?

What we need from you

  • Component, dimensions, weight
  • Delivery point
  • Lifting
  • Date

Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
  • Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
  • Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned

Good to know

Tell us the yard's installation date – we plan delivery so assembly on board can start straight away.

How it works

  1. 01

    Request

You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.

  2. 02

    Review

We check component and route and clarify permit and lifting.

  3. 03

    Quote

After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.

  4. 04

    Execution

Transport after permit, unloading at quay or hall.
