Planning
When dimensions or weight are still missing
At the start of a project values are often missing: the goods are still in production, the weight only calculated, the centre of gravity unknown. That is normal. What matters is labelling unknowns as such – instead of guessing.
What matters
- Mark rather than guess
- Choose “not known yet” in the form – better than an estimated number.
- Label estimates
- If you estimate, say so – with a range.
- Supply later
- Values, drawings and data sheets after our first reply.
- A reliable quote
- With reliable values we check feasibility and price – so you receive a quote you can build on.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which values are still missing?
- When will they be available?
- Is there a range?
- Who can supply them – manufacturer, design?
- Is there a similar predecessor piece?
What we need from you
- Known values
- Values marked unknown
- Expected date
- Contact
Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
- Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
- Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned
Good to know
Simply mark unknown values – we ask specific questions and clarify them together with you.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.
- 02
Review
We give an initial assessment based on the known values and ask targeted questions.
- 03
Quote
After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.
- 04
Execution
Feasibility and quote follow once values are reliable.
Questions and answers: When values are still missing
Can I make a request without knowing weight or dimensions?
Yes. Mark the values as unknown. We ask and check later with reliable values.
Is an estimated weight enough?
For an initial assessment yes, if you label it as an estimate. Permit and quote need confirmed values.
Why does Logisticoo not commit without values?
Because permit, vehicle and price depend on them. A commitment without them would not hold.
