Cargo
Transporting special vehicles
Some vehicles may not or cannot drive themselves: airport and mining vehicles, rail vehicles, prototypes, over-width special vehicles or non-running units. They then travel as out-of-gauge or heavy transport.
What matters
- No road registration
- Many special vehicles are not registered for public roads.
- Dimensions and weight
- Mining and airport vehicles are often wide and heavy.
- Non-runners
- Without own drive, a winch, crane or ramp is needed.
- Rail vehicles
- Road transport with special equipment and transfer at rail sidings.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which vehicle, with dimensions and weight?
- Is it running?
- How is loading and unloading done?
- From where to where?
- Are there manufacturer lashing requirements?
What we need from you
- Vehicle, dimensions, weight
- Running condition
- Loading and unloading point
- Date
Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
- Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
- Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned
Good to know
Share dimensions, weight and axle loads of the vehicle – we check which transport method fits. Vehicles of normal dimensions can also be planned by Logisticoo Machinery.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.
- 02
Review
We check dimensions, weight and loading situation and clarify vehicle, permit and lifting.
- 03
Quote
After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.
- 04
Execution
Loading, securing, transport after permit, unloading at destination.
