Cargo
Transporting modular building units
Modules for flats, offices, schools or hospitals are largely fitted out in the factory and transported as complete units. They are wide and tall but not necessarily heavy – and sensitive inside.
What matters
- Width and height
- Module dimensions often exceed the general limits – route and permit follow.
- Interior fit-out
- Windows, tiles and installations do not tolerate twisting.
- Weather protection
- Openings are covered by the manufacturer.
- Assembly
- Modules are delivered in sequence and set straight from the vehicle.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- What module dimensions and weights?
- How many modules, in what order?
- Are there lifting points or spreader beams?
- What is the site access like?
- Who provides the crane?
What we need from you
- Module dimensions and number
- Assembly plan
- Site
- Crane
Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
- Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
- Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned
Good to know
Well-sealed modules travel safely in any weather – we plan delivery around your assembly date.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.
- 02
Review
We check dimensions, route and sequence and clarify vehicles, permits and crane.
- 03
Quote
After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.
- 04
Execution
Transports after permit, delivery in assembly sequence.
Questions and answers: Modular building units
Are modular units heavy transports?
Usually out-of-gauge transports: they are wide and tall but rarely exceptionally heavy.
How is the interior fit-out protected?
Through low-twist support and securing as well as covers fitted by the manufacturer.
Can modules be set straight from the vehicle?
Yes, if assembly sequence and crane are coordinated.
