Implementing the official conditions of a heavy transport
A permit only allows the transport under conditions. These define how the journey is made: on which route, at which times, with which escort, how bridges are crossed. They are binding – deviations are not allowed.
What matters
- Route
- Only the approved route may be used.
- Times
- Travel times, often at night or outside rush hour, and blackout periods.
- Escort
- Type and number of escort vehicles.
- Special conditions
- For example crossing bridges alone, speed limits or coordination with grid operators.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Is a permit already available?
- Which conditions does it contain?
- Are there conditions affecting third parties (e.g. shutdowns)?
- Does the time window fit the travel times?
- Who can be reached at destination at arrival time?
What we need from you
- Permit status
- Time window
- Contact at destination
- Route particulars
Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
- Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
- Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned
Good to know
Conditions determine travel times, escort and route – we plan them in from the start so your transport runs without surprises.
How it works
- 01
Request
You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.
- 02
Review
We check the conditions and plan partners, travel times and coordination accordingly.
- 03
Quote
After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.
- 04
Execution
Execution strictly according to the conditions; arrival often outside usual working hours.
Questions and answers: Implementing official conditions
What do the conditions of a heavy transport permit contain?
Among others route, travel times, escorts and special conditions, for example for bridge crossings.
May the approved route be departed from?
No. Deviations require an amendment to the permit.
Why does a heavy transport arrive at night?
Because the conditions often require night travel. Someone should then be reachable at destination.
