Heavy transport for mining and raw materials

Quarries, gravel pits and surface mines work with large, heavy machines: haul trucks, excavators, crushers, screens, conveyors. They come over long distances and finally have to reach the work site over unpaved roads.

What matters

Large machines
Haul trucks and large excavators are often transported dismantled.
Processing
Crushers, screens and conveyors in assemblies.
Access
Unpaved roads, gradients and soft ground.
Assembly on site
Large equipment is assembled at the work site.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. Which machines or plants, with dimensions and weights?
  2. Dismantled or complete?
  3. What is the access to the work site like?
  4. Who assembles on site?
  5. What period applies?

What we need from you

  • Parts list
  • Work site
  • Access
  • Period

Preparation: You hand over the cargo ready for loading with known lifting points – dismantling, assembly and foundation work are handled by your team or your installation partner.

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Feasibility check per project with questions on missing values
  • Coordination of permits, escort vehicles, route surveys and lifting equipment via partners
  • Quote with the agreed scope once the transport can be planned

Good to know

Agree the split with manufacturer or operator – we plan the right transport for each piece.

How it works

  1. 01

    Request

You state the cargo, dimensions and weight per piece with units, rough route and time window – marking anything unknown.

  2. 02

    Review

We check pieces, route and access and clarify vehicles and permits.

  3. 03

    Quote

After the feasibility check you receive a quote with the agreed scope, including partner services.

  4. 04

    Execution

Transports after permit to the agreed unloading point.

Questions and answers: Mining and raw materials

Can large haul trucks be transported?

Usually dismantled into assemblies that each travel as heavy transport.

What matters for access to quarries?

Load capacity, gradient and width of the roads – they must be passable for low-loaders.

Who assembles large equipment on site?

The manufacturer or operator. We deliver the assemblies to the unloading point.

A short description is enough.

Dimensions per piece (L × W × H)

Please with unit. Comma or point as decimal separator, e.g. 3.85 m.

Can the load be divided? (optional)
Known loading conditions (optional)

What should we coordinate via our partners? (optional)

Whether and to what extent anything is needed is checked per project.

You can send technical drawings after our first reply. Unknown values lead to questions – not to an estimated price commitment.
